Mixed Feelings

Once upon a time, if one played a word association game, Bangalore would invariably linked with nouns/adjectives starting with P - parks, pleasant weather, people.

Even now, the association holds good for the alphabet - pollution, parking problems, and people.

Note: This was an old post in an older blog of mine, which I decided to fold for good. Somehow, the post still felt relevant.

BD, if you had to sit through three hours of painful traffic EVERYDAY to office, you would know what I meant!

That is yeno correctu bidri.
I remember my Hosur Road days from last year too. Less said about them the better.

Hey by the way have you tried out the new KSRTC Volvo buses to E City? They have lots of routes now and I hear they are cheap, fast and very comfortable.

Yes, I have, as an emergency measure when I missed my office bus. Vovlos are a blessing! Really smooth, shuts out all the noise (the best part!)And the conductors are quite polite! (Can you believe that?!)

I love B'lore probably that's why it hurts a little to see all the pollution and 'lost' parks....but the people are amazing as always :) And yeah the volvos are great!

I know what you're talkin' about, RustyN. 2 or 3 years from now I might write a similar post for Hyderabad :-(

@DC,
I wish these volvos were around for other parts of the city too..

@Priya,
Looks like no city can escape this fate! :(

That does not sound good!

But in spite of all it's failings, I still miss Bangalore. The city does that to ya :)
